Rock Creek Curling, set to open in 2021, has partnered with Upper Hand in order to offer their clients a premium lifetime curling experience through Upper Hand’s sports facility management software.
Rock Creek Curling, located in Lafayette, Colorado, will open its doors in fall 2021–just in time for the winter Olympics. And when it does, it will offer a seamless scheduling, membership, and payment experience for its clients through Upper Hand.
Part-Owner Sean Stevinson first became aware of the sport of curling 15 years ago when he watched the event at the Olympics. Soon after, he attended his first Learn to Curl session at a local facility, and brought his dad along to try. From then on, the duo was hooked.
When the curling club Sean and his team had joined years previously opened a new facility, they knew that, because all of the club’s leagues were full and the corporate waitlist for memberships ran several hundred people deep, there was a clear demand in the area for another facility. Thus, Rock Creek Curling was born.
In researching the best ways to run their new business, Rock Creek became aware of a curling-specific software that similar facilities used. However, after digging into the specifics of this technology, they found it to be difficult to manage and generally not user-friendly. They began searching for an all-in-one alternative that would streamline the backend of their operations, and soon found Upper Hand.
