Indianapolis, IN – May 14, 2024 – Today, Upper Hand announced the winner of the 2024 UPLIFT Sports Business Makeover Competition: Lilith Puckett, founder and owner of Missouri Volleyball Academy (MOVA).

The UPLIFT competition was created to highlight and support hard-working youth sports business owners who are committed to their communities and have demonstrated remarkable resilience through challenging times. Upper Hand chose 3 finalists to share their stories and opened a voting period where Lilith Puckett emerged as the winner.

The 2 other finalists next to Lilith Puckett are Dermall Woods, owner of Body by Flash, and Laura Rogers, owner of Top-Notch Training. Each of the 3 finalists will receive a monetary prize, software and digital marketing assets, and various facility needs. The Upper Hand team will work with these finalists over the coming weeks to discuss their wants and needs from the competition.

“Each finalist’s story is a testament to the power of perseverance and dedication,” said Kevin MacCauley, CEO of Upper Hand. “Lilith’s journey, from founding MOVA in 2014 to overcoming numerous obstacles, embodies the spirit of the UPLIFT competition. We are thrilled to recognize her as the winner and look forward to collaborating with her team to elevate her business. All the finalists have demonstrated remarkable resilience and innovation, making this competition truly inspiring.”
