Upper Hand, Inc. Named Best Tech Company in Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS (September 18, 2018) Upper Hand, Inc., the leader in cloud-based sports and fitness management software and business services, today proudly announces it has been named the “Best Tech Company” as part of a new and exciting competition conducted by the Indianapolis Star.

The inaugural Best Things Indianapolis competition is a brand new quest launched by the Indianapolis Star to identify and celebrate the best businesses, events, restaurants and more citywide. More than 20,000 people, places, restaurants, bars, things to do and services were nominated in 150 different categories. Indianapolis Star readers then voted for their all-time favorite nominees, which brought in nearly 200,000 votes cross all categories.

In the “Best Tech Company” category, Upper Hand beat out some of the most innovative and largest companies in the city and world. Nominees included tech giants like Salesforce, Genesys, Infosys Technologies, and more.

“Thank you to the our supporters and the Indianapolis Star for launching this incredible competition that allows companies like Upper Hand to be recognized for their incredible work that revolutionizes industries through new subsets of innovation,” said Kevin MacCauley, CEO and founder of Upper Hand. “Indy’s technology ecosystem encompasses the most brilliant minds, leaders and businesses in the world, so to be recognized as one of the best is an incredible honor.”

Founded in 2011, Upper Hand has revolutionized the way coaches, trainers and sports management professionals conduct business with its powerful, cloud-based mobile platform. Its software offers sports organizations a suite of online tools to escape the administrative vortex and focus more on training and developing clients. It is also the industry’s first business intelligence reporting solution.

Most recently, Upper Hand became the world’s first sports and fitness management platform to integrate video analysis and video coaching with its most recent launch of APEX, a revolutionary multi-sport video analysis platform for sports, fitness and performance activities. It also recently broke into the facility management industry with a newly-integrated software solution, so business owners can manage their facilities more seamlessly while  saving upwards of 14 hours a week in administrative tasks and reducing annual software fees by $5,000.

This “Best Tech Company” recognition is added to a long list of accolades received by Upper Hand and its executive team. Most recently, MacCauley was named to the Coach and Athletic Director’s inaugural 40 Under 40 List for his groundbreaking work in the sports industry.
