Vanessa Palestino named Vice President of Business Development at Upper Hand
Indianapolis-based Upper Hand Inc. has named Vanessa Palestino Vice President of Business Development. In the role, she will lead and support the sales team, as well as cultivate growth for the Enterprise Sales department, for the firm’s award-winning sports and fitness software platform.
Palestino brings her experience as an industry leader to the role at Upper Hand. She previously served as Director of Enterprise Sales for EIS Inc, a health and wellness technology company. There, she managed the enterprise sales team growth and pipeline for the LATAM territory.
Most notably, prior to Palestino’s time with EIS Inc, she franchised a Pure Barre in Tucson, AZ where she was exposed to the multi-faceted role of being a fitness studio owner. Her professional and personal passion for the industry will offer an authentic perspective and give Upper Hand an edge in continual growth.
“Upper Hand fills the missing gaps of fitness tech software that is currently on the market. There is so much that goes on behind the scenes for a business owner. Upper Hand offers a seamless platform to truly create best business practices and ultimately, an outstanding end-consumer experience” says Palestino.
Recent additions to the Upper Hand sales team also include Heather Hunt and Erica Cohen.
Hunt is an Indianapolis native who has previously held positions at Adidas and Indiana Sports Corp. She participates in the run2gether program with the Joseph Maley Foundation, and joined the team as an SMB Sales Executive.
Cohen joined the sales team as an Enterprise Sales Executive, and previously worked at Mindbody Inc. She brings valuable industry experience and insight to her role at Upper Hand.
