April showers not only brought May flowers to kick off a new month…they also brought a number of new updates to the Upper Hand app. Here’s an inside look at what’s new, and a sneak peak at what’s coming soon!
And just like that, another summer has flown by in the blink of an eye! As athletes head back to school and summer programs wind down, we’re excited to bring you the latest updates to your Upper Hand software. Our team has been hard at work to enhance your experience and help you get the most out of your software.
We’re excited about these recent updates, and we think you will be too!
Whether you’re gearing up for a busy fall season or simply looking to get up to speed, there’s something here for everyone.
Let’s dive in!
We’ve revamped the way you can create and manage your memberships! Now, you can set various tiers within a single membership. And, we also updated the look of your membership cards and membership landing pages, making it easy to see important information at a glance.
Read more about this feature here!
Previously, for each variant of a membership, you would need to create a separate membership offering. The more flexibility you provided, the more memberships options you would have to create.
Now, whether you want to break down your memberships into levels based on payment cadences, benefits, commitment length, or other criteria, you’re able to create multiple “tiers” within a single membership offering.
This simplified membership experience also makes it easier for clients to sift through your membership offerings. Tiered memberships make it easier for them to understand the difference between your membership types and pricing options, and reduce customer confusion or frustration. And, set a “Best Value” tier to guide clients towards that option!
Staff, coaches, managers, and admins are now able to add a client note to a session!
This will make it easy for you to leave notes for your clients tied to a specific event; for example, which colored jersey to bring or where to meet for practice. And, it provides you a platform to share session notes, for example if a coach wants to let a parent know how an athlete did during their lesson or what skills they worked on during that session.
With the notes visible by both admins and clients via the Client Profile Page, parents and athletes will be able to access that information from their account instead of searching through emails or text messages for information.
If a client has enrolled in a recurring payment plan, and you need to make an adjustment to the scheduled payment, you can now do so!
For example, if a client is set to be charged $150 on October 1, but you’d like to discount the month by $50, you can update that October 1 payment to be $100. This gives you added flexibility and should improve your client experience.
To improve your clients’ experience when registering for Classes, we’ve added a few new filtering options. Now, your clients can easily filter your class options by day of the week or location to find the class options that work best for them.
You now have the option to accept ACH payments in the software. This option allows for even greater flexibility for your clients, as they are able to directly connect their bank account information to the software as opposed to paying by card or check.
We’ve also continued to work on features that will improve your day to day. While we can’t share too much yet, we wanted to put together a few highlights of what you can look forward to in the coming weeks.
Our team has been working on an exciting new update that will take your marketing to the next level. Our new Marketing Campaigns feature unlocks even more marketing functionality inside the Upper Hand app.
Coming soon, you’ll be able to create and save email templates to send marketing campaigns from the software. And, you’ll be able to monitor their performance from inside the app.
This feature is not live yet, but stay tuned for more information and resources coming soon.
In case you missed last month’s update, here’s a recap of some of the features we pushed out in May!
We know how important it is to keep everyone in the loop. That just got easier with Upper Hand. We’ve added the ability for you (or your clients) to add additional emails to an account. With this update, adding an additional email will allow those email addresses to receive all marketing emails, custom messages, and registration confirmations.
Now, when cloning an event or team, any registration fields will clone in the exact order they were added to the original event. And, if they were originally marked as required, they will be marked as such on the new event as well.
You are now able to set a date of birth restriction on your events and teams. Historically, our age restrictions were based on a client’s current age, and not the age they would be at the time of the event, sometimes preventing them from signing up for a camp that they would be eligible for by the time the event occurred.
