Inside Upper Hand: Meet Sebastian Buckeridge

Another month, another look inside Upper Hand. In our Meet the Team series, we are introducing you to the incredible people that work on our team.

You’ve previously met Alexus Jimson-Miller and Aydan Koyles. Today, we’re excited to introduce you to Sebastian Buckeridge!

Sebastian recently joined our marketing team as a Marketing Content Specialist, where he is responsible for creating content that helps our customers do business better. As a former collegiate track athlete, it’s no surprise that if Sebastian could be any animal, he would be a cheetah.

First, the basics: Can you tell us a little bit about yourself and your background?

I graduated from Marian University in 2022 with a Marketing degree. I was a part of the track and field team where I earned two All-American awards. My background is in tech sales, where I’ve created over 1 million in Annual Contract Value, but my passion is Marketing.

 

What excites you about working at Upper Hand?

What excites me about working for Upper Hand is doing what I love while learning about the sports industry.

 

How do you define success?

Defining a goal that I set out to achieve before a deadline.

 

What is your sports background? Did you play any sports growing up? Which sports/ teams do you follow now?

I’ve been a part of many sports teams ranging from track and field, swimming, cycling and basketball. I’m currently a Seahawks and Bucks fan.

 

What’s a fun fact people may not know about you?

A fun fact about me is that I was born in Jamaica.

 

What are your hobbies or interests outside of work?

One of my hobbies is running my animation business.

 

What advice would you give to someone looking for a career like yours?

Develop strong written and verbal communication skills. As a content specialist, you’ll need to be able to communicate effectively with colleagues, customers, and their clients.
